Performance Issues

Had this unit to replace our old fireplace insert. Our old unit used to maintain a temperature of 74° in the house with very little effort. The Ventis unit struggles to keep the ground floor of the house at 69°. I could’ve achieved the same or better results with a $100 electric space heater purchased at Walmart. The thermodisc prevents the unit from running longer than a minute when the firebox is at 600 degrees F. The unit looks nice but we are regretting our $3000 investment after 3 days of trying to use it. Very disappointed.
